The Bristol St Andrews floodlight league has launched, with six clubs in competition across all six rinks.
Games began just as the sun was setting and by halfway, the floodlights created a real atmosphere for players and spectators alike.
The event was opened by president of the City and County of Bristol Bowls Association Chris Harris along with our chairman, John Pearce who paid tribute to organiser Pete Jones.
There was success, too, for our home team with convincing wins by rinks led by Jeff Lowden and Keith Smith over Redland Green. Other clubs in action were GB Britton, Olveston, Page Park and Ardagh
